Strategic Communications Specialist- Charity sector- Fully remote - 12 Month FTC - Up to £33,000.

Morgan Hunt are working with a reputable charity organisation who are recruiting for a Strategic communications specialist to join their brilliant communications team.

This is an exciting role suited to an experienced communications professional who is looking make an impact develop their skills.

As a Strategic communications specialist you will be responsible for;

  • Plan and deliver a variety of external communications projects and campaigns aimed at improving knowledge, raising awareness and increasing engagement.
  • To contribute to developing the brands narrative, supporting us to tell a consistent, compelling and engaging story to our key audiences.
  • Support the implementation of the organisations Communications strategy and support the delivery of our organisational goals.
  • Lead and contribute to the planning and delivery of a variety of exciting communications projects and activities
  • Create engaging and accessible content and copy to reach a wide variety of key audiences, using different mediums as appropriate including reports, emails and digital.
  • Develop collaborative relationships and effective ways of working with key teams across the organisation including Marketing, Partnerships, Internal Communications, Fund raising, Policy and Campaigns, Services, and Retail.
  • Use audience insights to help identify the best channels and approach to engage and influence our key audiences.

Skills and Experience needed for the Strategic communications specialist:

  • Experience of developing and delivering strategic communication plans.
  • Excellent copywriter, adept at developing key messages for different audiences and producing clear, accessible content from complex subjects and information.
  • A demonstrable knowledge of how integrated marketing and communications plans lead to more effective outcomes.
  • Experience of evaluating and reporting on communications outcomes, including setting metrics, KPI's and targets and monitoring progress against these.
  • Experience of advising and influencing colleagues on effective communications approaches.
  • Strong track record of working with colleagues across an organisation to support the development and delivery of communications projects.
