Are you a Data Protection Lead or an experienced Data Protection Analyst looking for a new role? If so one of Morgan Hunt's clients, a leading charity client based in London, would love to hear from you!

Hybrid working - London based. (2/3 days per week in office or a minimum of once per month).

You will join at £38,061pa and the salary will go up to £39,880pa in the first year.

Salary includes London weighting allowance

As a Data Protection Lead or an experienced Data Protection Analyst, you will be working within a small team, reporting to the Planning and Performance Manager and line manging a data protection co-ordinator. This is a very exciting opportunity, where you will be ensuring that the Charity's data protection systems & processes comply with legislation & best practice. You will be ensuring that volunteer and member data is managed appropriately and in line with best practice.

The role

As a Data Protection Lead or an experienced Data Protection Analyst, you will be responsible for tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Working with colleagues in the Practice & Volunteer Experience teams to ensure volunteer compliance with the charity's Managing Information policy and the handle of complaints and queries.
  • Working within the data protection framework, which is all in relation to the data protection agreements.
  • Working with small data that requires changes to a complex project- working with the Planning and Performance Manager to effectively monitor data protection compliance and ensure that all changes in sector legislation are integrated into business processes and the organisation remains compliant.
  • Developing, running and evaluating data protection training for managers, staff and volunteers on the safe and legally compliant storage of data.
  • Having access to a 3rd party consultant with regard to any queries.

Key Skills required in this mid-level role-

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience of the production and management of organisational Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and this full lifecycle.
  • Good record management experience- you will be developing and monitoring organisational compliance and complete audits on recordkeeping processes to ensure compliance with charity's Managing Information Policy.
  • Experience of contract management for data protection agreement with third party.
  • Knowing how to support an organisation's data protection requirements
  • Can undergo the Practical implications of the Data Protection Act.
  • Ideally having experience in cyber security- but you can receive further training on this upon joining.
  • Having worked in the charity sector.
