Are you a Moodle Web Developer, based in London, looking for a new role? If so one of Morgan Hunt's clients, a high-profile professional membership body is looking for an experienced Moodle Web Developer.

Salary of £43,702.08 - £47,169.82 pa (Plus excellent benefits package including 8% Pension contribution).

Remote /flexible working - 2 days per week in the office.

Permanent role.

As a Moodle Web Developer, you will be developing web applications to meet organisational objectives & enhance existing functionality. You will review initial specification documents and produce full specification. The focus of this role is on the development, maintenance, and support of the organisations' Online Learning Environment and associated web-based tools and services.

You will use your strong Moodle Development experience and technical competence. You will also have an awareness of the wider projects (from a development and technical stance) and use your initiative.

You will have strong knowledge of PHP (development of Apps in PHP), Git, MySQL, (ability to undertand Database Technology) ability to hand code CSS and JavaScript. You will also have the ability to maintain the website. You will have a good understanding of programming standards and best practice…

It will be ideal if you have worked in a smaller organisation. You will be reporting to the Senior Web Developer and work within a team of 8/9. The team are very collaborative and very friendly. The work culture is very supportive and open.

The role-

As a Moodle Web Developer , you will be responsible for tasks including:

  • Upholding & enhancing the Moodle platform Online Learning Environment website.
  • Act as lead on projects & co-ordinate the development effort.
  • Develop web applications as required.
  • Act as lead on development activities as part of major system upgrade.
  • Develop and contribute to the innovation of new Moodle functionality.
  • Contribution of development of new content (including interactive content).

As an experienced Moodle Web Developer, you will have knowledge and experience in the following areas-

  • Moodle
  • PHP
  • CSS
  • Javascript
  • Database (MySQL)

Desirable-

  • Web Services
  • Git / GitHub version control
  • Composer
  • PHPUnit
  • Jenkins / Travis
