We have a current opportunity for a Operations Manager - Soft Services on a contract basis. The position will be based in Buckinghamshire. Here are the job headlines, please contact me for the full JD:

Site Operations Manager role for Wycombe & Amersham Hospitals & Community sites will be professionally accountable to provide key operational leadership to an indirect team of circa 400 people working for both a PFI partner service provider and Communities retained estate sites, along with a direct report within a core team of the Property Services Operations department, plus manage a number of other subcontracted service providers.

The role encompassing financial and operational ownership of all soft services on site & management of PFI contracted estate and Communities retained estate sites. The post holder will be responsible for the operational safety, compliance management, commercial and contracts management. Training and development of teams and the operational delivery for all soft services and moves. Providing detailed support to the Head of Operations - Property Services and working in a coordinated and coherent way with the Head of Estates Development & their team to achieve the "One Property Services department" ethos.

The post holder will be the management point of contact for the operational delivery of soft services and PFI contract on the Wycombe Hospital, Amersham Hospital & Communities retained estates sites, carrying senior and professional responsibility for the effective, safe and compliant delivery of these services.

They will also need to work in close harmony with the other Property Services Site Operations Manager role covering;- Stoke Mandeville Hospital site. Both Op's Mgr's will also cover themselves during holidays and absence periods.

The key duties and responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Managing the PFI contract at Wycombe & Amersham Hospitals and Communities retained estate sites ref value for money as per the contract and agreed specifications. Along with being the property Services key point of contact for clinical colleagues related to these sites.

  • To be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the PFI contract & Soft Service Contract within retained estates communities and any other associated contracts.

  • To be responsible for the expert/detailed analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) pertaining to the PFI contract at WH & Amh along with Communities sites and have input into the longer term strategic performance of facilities services, in addition make appropriate recommendations based on these detailed analysis.

  • Ensuring the Trust provides Soft services, the PFI contract and Communities retained Estate sites are safe, whilst optimising the opportunities to provide high quality of patient care.

  • To be responsible for the expert/detailed analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) pertaining to the PFI contract at WH & Amh along with Community sites and have input into the longer term strategic performance of facilities services, in addition make appropriate recommendations based on these detailed analysis.

  • Relentlessly develop a "can do" culture for service delivery, focussed on customer service, patient safety and innovative service delivery.

  • To manage the Trust's response to the national PLACE and Better Hospital Food initiatives, driving forward change management processes and innovative service delivery to ensure that the Trust achieves its objectives in terms of staff and public involvement, standards of cleanliness and environmental management
