Morgan Hunt is recruiting for a Plumbing and Gas Trainer Assessor, to work with a leading FE College in Greater Manchester

The role will be full time with a full case load of learners getting them through their assessment and will be an ongoing assignment out in the workplace. You will be required to carry out workplace assessments, progress reviews, setting SMART Targets and action plans for apprenticeships, conduct health and safety appraisals and deliver professional qualifications at Level 2 - 3 including embedding of Functional Skills. Holding a gas qualification, being able to assess portfolios and preparing learners for ACS assessments is essential and experience of environmental pathways is desirable. The role will also include IQA duties within an existing team and developing the College's offer in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies.

The post holder will be required to deliver to some apprenticeship groups in college preparing apprentices for end point assessment.

The ideal Plumbing and Gas Trainer Assessor will:

• Have minimum 1 years' experience working in the Plumbing and Gas industry
• Have an up to date DBS or willing to apply for one
• Up to Level 4 Plumbing and Gas qualification
• A recognised assessment qualification (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent) (Teaching qualification is desirable)
• Confident in all aspects of the workplace assessment within the plumbing and heating sector
• Ability to assess learner's responsibilities of working within the Plumbing and Gas industry
• Be a driver with access to their own car.

Plumbing and Gas Trainer main duties:

• Assessing learners, ensuring they reach their targets
• Working in the Plumbing and Gas provision, you will be working with a variety of learners and be expected to meet the organisation's standards of work
• Delivering Plumbing and Gas on a classroom basis
• Providing tutorial and pastoral support to students across the organisation and in the workplace
