Morgan Hunt is partnering with a client in Edinburgh in their search for a Property Building Officer on a temporary basis.
This is a client side temp position for at least 3 months.
Job Purpose:
The post holder will be the first point of contact for any reactive maintenance concerns.
In addition, the post holder will use their experience and knowledge to decide on the urgency and prioritise in the most cost-effective way for any maintenance concerns to be resolved which may involve coordinating several contractors through the Measured Term Contract (MTC).
Scope of the role:
- Co-ordinate the delivery of all day-to-day site-based reactive maintenance activities and any contractors on site.
- Has responsibility to ensure all physical assets are operational and meet legislative compliance.
- To carry out maintenance, routine service checks and reactive works to buildings, plant, equipment, and systems in accordance with agreed service levels and respond to site engineering and building fabric emergencies.
- To co-ordinate all elements of the reactive maintenance compliance plan which will be delivered in the main by the (MTC)
- Responsible for managing Health & Safety, Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
- To deliver some reactive maintenance activities where competent to do so ensuring appropriate additional resources (external or internal) are engaged where necessary.
Qualifications & experience:
- Good working knowledge of Building, Mechanical and Electrical Services.
- Experience of working with a CAFM system
