Job description

Morgan Hunt are working with a prestigious Higher Education organisation who are recruiting for a Recruitment Manager on a temporary basis initially but with a chance of going permanent. This role is paying from £300 - £350 per day starting ASAP and is a hybrid role, 2 days per week in the central London based office. The role will be for 6 months to begin with.

As a Recruitment Manager the role will look after proactive recruitment for professional services department and will involve assisting with the implementation of a new recruitment system.

Main purpose of the Recruitment Manager:

  • Managing multiple end to end recruitment campaigns for professional services or senior academic roles (Head of Department and above) to ensure an efficient, cost effective and compliant recruitment process

  • Utilising standard and innovative routes to market to deliver a diverse applicant pool

  • Proactively generating applicants through various search methodologies

  • Working to a defined service catalogue to deliver a value added service which improves the way the organisation recruits talent, reducing time to hire and cost per hire

  • Focusing on delivering an exceptional hiring manager and candidate experience

  • Promoting and developing the organisation as an employer of choice

  • Working with hiring managers to agree hiring plan for each role including defining times for shortlisting and interviews, advertising and routes to market strategy ,social media engagement (e.g Linked In), and assessment

  • Proactively sourcing candidates using job boards, agencies, meet ups, social media platforms, internet research, referrals, general headhunting, community groups and other innovative methods to attract the best possible candidates for our roles efficiently and cost effectively

  • Supporting hiring managers in writing attractive job descriptions in collaboration with HR Business Partner

Experience and skills needed for the Recruitment Manager:

  • Proven experience of full life-cycle recruitment experience within an in-house or RPO environment

  • Ability to build credibility quickly and develop positive working relationships with stakeholders

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written

  • Proven ability to source and attract candidates using proactive search methodologies

  • Experience of producing performance metrics to support customer scorecards

  • Experience of x-ray and Boolean search would be advantageous

  • Experience of working within the Higher Education Sector would be advantageous
