Job description
We are currently recruiting for a SASS Worker working alongside a well renowned organisation to help young girls and women with Domestic Violence related cases. The position will be based in Nottingham, a car driver is necessary as travel will be involved. For further information about this position please apply.
Responsibilities of a SASS Worker
- Carry a varied caseload, working with each survivor, managing and prioritising cases effectively to support the child/young person/adult to transition to life without DVA
- Advocate on behalf of the g person to other agencies and/or support survivors to self advocate, linking them to appropriate agencies and community-based support
- Plan, create and deliver therapeutic group work programmes around the needs of the females working closely with internal services and external agencies to ensure safety and well-being of attendees
- Work with the whole family (where appropriate) to agree risk and needs assessments and develop and implement personal safety plans
- Plan and provide creative sessions which include understanding Domestic Abuse and address the health and emotional well being of the survivor
- Contribute to Survivor feedback and voice in service delivery and service development.
- Ensure service standards are maintained and all policies and procedures complied with
Requirement of a SASS Worker
- A car driver is needed as will be travelling over the Nottingham area
- Both Part-time and Full-time vacancies available
- Range of contracts available within the service
- Able to start ASAP
- Will need an up to date DBS or on the update service
