Repairs Assistant

£12 - £13 per hour

Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Repairs/Customer Service Assistant on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Edinburghand will be for around 8 - 12 weeks. Hybrid working is available however the minimum requirement for office days are 3 every week.

The main duties of the role are:

  • Responsible for responding to incoming enquiries and correspondence/calls from customers, staff and external organisations.
  • Discussing repair requirements and generating work orders to instruct the most appropriate contractors to carry out necessary repairs, ensuring accurate budget codes are allocated to each instruction.
  • Administration of processes relating to invoices for work carried out, including authorisation of works orders and invoices up to the value of £1000.
  • Process incoming Tenant Satisfaction information & uploading these onto databases
  • IT and paper filing, photocopying, generating letters, and mail merges as required.

The skills required for the post are:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey information simply and clearly
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, ability to prioritise
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to deliver excellent levels of customer service at all times
