Compliance Property Officer

£29994 - £35287 per annum

Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Compliance Property Officer on a fixed term basis. The contract will run until September 2022.

The organisation have several offices throughout Argyll and Bute so they are flexible on which office you would be based in. There will also be a mix of office/home working.

The main objectives of the role are:

  • Support the delivery of the Asset Management Strategy through the collection and management of high quality data to inform current and future investment decisions.
  • Responsible for the critical role of ensuring that the organisations assets are well maintained, safe and compliant with legislation, regulation and best practice.
  • Working closely with the project and area based teams to ensure the effective delivery of works to ensure compliance.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance is managed and monitored effectively by removing risk to the company where possible and implementing mitigation where remedial action is not possible.
  • Responsible for overseeing the delivery of Medical Adaptations including administration of works, quality control and collating information from the area based teams in order to draw down grant claims and monitor performance. Preparing bids for grant funding.

To be considered for this role you must have the following experience:

  • Experience of interrogation and maintaining databases
  • Experience of analysing large data sets
  • Experience of writing bids for grant funding
  • Experience of successfully managing a compliance or building safety matters within a housing or property based portfolio
  • Contract management experience
  • Experience of analysing performance and reporting against targets

You will also need to have knowledge of:

  • housing sector in relation to building and construction,
  • H & S legislation
  • managing asbestos and legionella
  • SHQS and EESSH
  • building contracts and procedures

There is also some funding available to assist with relocation for the first 3 months if this is something that you would consider.
