Job description
We have a current opportunity for a Housing Team Leader on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Edinburgh. The role will be month to month but expected to last until around Feb/March and to start around the beginning of December. This will be an office based role.
This is an operational role where you will be responsible for a team of housing staff including housing officers and housing advisors.
The main duties of the role are to:
- Lead, manage and develop the Housing Team in the day to day delivery of effective and efficient customer-focused housing services
- Ensure compliance in all statutory and regulatory aspects of housing services including voids and allocations; rent management and service charge income; rental arrears and registrations for managed, leased and factored properties
- Ensure that objectives and vision are communicated, shared and understood within your team and are translated into agreed objectives and actions.
- Guide, support and advise members of the Housing Team in all aspects of legal action and Anti-Social Behaviour cases, ensuring all cases are dealt with within agreed timescales, policies and procedures.
