Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Strategic Planning Analyst on a permanent basis on behalf of our public sector client based in Glasgow.
Salary: £46k - £53k

The successful candidate will be from a Business or Data Analysis background and will draw upon a highly analytical skill-set combined with strategic thinking to drive innovation and improvements across planning and budgeting. They will provide high quality analysis, develop key insights for decision makers, and present these in an engaging and accessible manner. They will be expected to influence and lead the agenda with authority, to support evidence-based decision-making, working at the highest level of senior leadership and management, ensuring data quality assurances and processes are robust and in place.
Duties Include:
- Provide performance analysis across a wide range of areas - including competitor analysis, horizon scanning, planning dashboards, portfolio analysis, production of KPIs, engagement and performance, cost, and efficiency, etc.
- Advise on the analysis and interpretation of data, identify trends and test solutions, and report on progress to support the resolution of issues.
- Co-ordinate and specify deep dive analysis and recommendations on specific issues e.g., policy, impact analysis, strategic reviews etc.
- Engagement with key stakeholders and working collaboratively with colleagues to investigate and highlight areas of best practice and identify improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the formulation of policy to improve quality and effectiveness of service provision, considering, where relevant, legislative changes.
Experience & Skills:
- Experience of using data analysis and insight to inform decision making
- Previous experience working in a cross-departmental role
- Experience of building credible relationships that deliver value
- Project and/or people management skills gained through previous experience.
- Experience of managing the activities of self and/or others.
- Previous experience in QlikView or Tableau is preferable but not essential
