Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Delivery Lead for a 2-Year Fixed Term Contract on behalf of our public sector client based in Edinburgh.

Salary: £55k - £60k


  • 40 Days Annual Leave

The Continuous Improvement Delivery Lead will be responsible for the planning and organising of a high-profile programme of targeted Continuous Improvement. They will establish, drive, and implement a 2-year programme of prioritised HR and Finance continuous improvements of the programme, adopting a holistic approach to the delivery of change responding to technology and human factors - focussed on adding value, both financial and non-financial, through delivering end-to-end business processes. The role holder will define and establish mechanisms, processes, and ways of working for this and future programmes of continuous improvement activity

Duties Include:

  • Development and own the continuous improvement programme plan.
  • Mobilise and execute the core governance, programme and project management processes required to ensure success.
  • Budgeting, planning, and financially managing the portfolio, programmes, and projects.
  • Manage multiple complex delivery projects in parallel, delivering against the agreed outcomes, costs, and schedule.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to identify deliverables and benefits, negotiating effectively on behalf of the programme, influencing, and motivating senior management and the programme/project teams towards actions which maximise benefits for the organisation
  • Provide clear, evidence-based proposals and recommendations of options and recommended actions.
  • Measuring and driving key business deliverables and benefits realisation across the programme
  • Management of a significant financial budget as well as line management responsibility for significant internal staff resources

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle products; able to advise senior leaders and direct team members on how to gain the greatest value from Oracle capabilities.
  • Expert knowledge of programme and project management processes and techniques, with the proven ability to adapt these to consistently deliver and a strong change management knowledge and mind-set.
  • Experience in planning and deploying resources effectively and adjusts as required, ensuring the correct structures to control and monitor the costs, resources and deliverables are in place.
  • Experience of implementing an HR or ERP system
  • Experience in Business Analysis, Project/Programme Management, or Change Management
  • Experience ensuring consolidated risk, assumptions, issues, and dependencies logs are maintained across the Programme, the Delivery Lead will ensure a proactive and effective approach to identifying, mitigating, and escalating risks and issues from the information gathered.
