Data Analyst

Job description

We're currently recruiting for our public sector client in Glasgow. They are looking for a Data Analyst to work within their Planning Department. This role would suit someone with at least 2 years experience in a similar role.

This role can be performed on a remote basis with on-site working 2 or 3 days a month.

Salary; £36k - £41k
Pension; 21% Employer Contribution

The role holder will be expected to carry out in-depth analysis on various data sets, to provide colleagues with the required insights and intelligence from varied and multiple datasets, with a particular focus on teaching and learning. Feedback will be instrumental to the organisation for strategic decision making. Using appropriate statistically robust methodology will be central to the role.

Other duties include;

• Deliver statistically robust analysis of various datasets
• Responsible for communicating across the organisation at all levels the insight and outputs of analysis undertaken.
• Engagement with key stakeholders and working collaboratively with colleagues to investigate and highlight areas of best practice and poor performance.
• Establish and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the organisation and outputs to be able to accurately prioritise, inform and present integrated analysis.

Skills & Experiences Required;

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of analytical techniques
• Relevant experience of data analysis and Business Intelligence tools - preferably Qlikview, but open to experience of other BI tools e.g. PowerBI
• Experience of working with data and producing a range of data analysis
• Demonstrable experience of using Business Intelligence software to derive data insights from complex data sets.
