Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Head of Change on behalf of our public sector client based in Glasgow.

Salary: £55k - £62k

Annual Leave: 40 Days

Pension: 21% From Employer

Working Model: Hybrid; 2 Days On-Site; 35 Hours Per Week

The Head of Change will lead a portfolio of projects that improve our staff and user experience by embedding continuous improvement practices across the institution, aligned to the Services Strategy. The first area of focus will be on the on-boarding processes.

Duties Include:

  • Lead large-scale and/or multiple operational excellence improvement projects across the on-boarding journey, from inception to completion ensuring that project plans, budgets and resources are in place.
  • Oversee project implementation and evaluation in the delivery of continuous business improvements through innovative and sustainable solutions, and by supporting local management teams in building and supporting an improvement culture and capability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, in a matrix management structure, on a range of improvement projects of ensuring effective deployment of resources.
  • Create and embed Operational Excellence capability within the Business Change team, aligned to the delivery of the Transformation portfolio.
  • Design a suitable framework for the identification of recommended areas for operational excellence capability building. This will involve understanding, influencing, and coaching a range of colleagues at all levels.

Experience & Skills:

  • Substantial professional experience at a senior level in private/public sector with a demonstrable track record in leading and delivering significant business/ operational excellence/improvement projects to a clear and successful conclusion.
  • Experience of managing significant relevant business change projects involving multiple stakeholders across several business units.
  • Proven track record of managing specialist improvement resources including the coaching and development of others in improvement techniques.
  • Significant experience of successful utilising multiple improvement methodologies in a variety of settings.
  • Significant experience within a similar transformation, strategic, business change and planning environment gained in industry, the public sector and/or consultancy.
  • Experience at a senior level in leading a major change programme with significant delivery implications in complex organisations.
  • Significant experience of task managing a diverse pool of resources from within a matrix organisation.
  • Experience of developing innovative solutions and contributing to strategic planning.
