Assistant Operations Manager

Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Assistant Operations Manager for a 6 months FTC on an initial basis with potential to extend. The position will be based in Glasgow but will adopt a hybrid working approach (37 hour working week Mon-Fri).

The purpose of this role is to contribute to the operational performance in relation to large volumes of applications, periodic data submissions and enquiries. The role focuses specifically on the key outputs and deliverables below.

• Contributing towards the administration of the Renewable Heat Incentive and achievement of key performance indicators, including making recommendations for application, payment and periodic data approvals.
• Providing responses to queries from current and potential participants in a clear and logical manner.
• Ensuring that checks made to register calculations enable accurate payment information to be provided within agreed timescales.

Objectives:

• Answer queries from current and potential participants (e.g. on eligibility).
• Ensure applications for accreditation are accurately assessed against the scheme eligibility criteria within set time-frames.
• Review information provided from applicants.
• Deliver targeted number of cases as agreed with your Manager.
• Check and verify the accuracy of periodic supplied information (e.g. meter readings) and RHI register calculations to ensure the correct tariff and payment has been calculated in the IT system.
• Provide support on related issues across the team on an ad-hoc basis.
• Relationship building with key stakeholders.

Essential:

• Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
• Proven ability to deliver operational processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong numerical and data analysis skills alongside IT literacy (including Microsoft Office)

Desirable:

• An interest in environmental issues, especially understanding and/or experience of renewable energy.
