CAD Technician ( Estate Records Management )

£23000 - £27000 per annum

Job description

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be partnering again with a Higher Education client in Glasgow in their search for several CAD & Records Technician. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a Global leader within Higher Education & Research.


Job Purpose

Responsible for keeping all 'as built' and statutory maintenance record information of the client's estate.

Preparing and updating documents including undertaking surveys and preparing drawings. building information models and datasheets.

To manage data transfers and updates from estate records, building Information models, and other record information between relevant stakeholders including the design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders as part of the Soft landings process.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare schematic infrastructure plans, dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings (plant engineering) as required in the absence of any as built information.
  • Plan, organise, and carry out a range of defined site measurements/CAD drawing work and other technical procedures (eg: upload data into estates integrated works management system), using specialist equipment and techniques.


Knowledge /Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate the competencies required to undertake the duties associated with this level of post having acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in a similar role. Or: Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 7 (Higher / Scottish Vocational Qualification level 3, Higher National Certificate in Architectural Technology or Building Studies), City and Guilds in Computer Aided Design or equivalent, and experience of personal development in a similar role.
  • Basic understanding of building construction and building services.
