Estates Property Manager

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be partnering with a Higher Education client in Edinburgh in their search for a Estates Property Manager (Leasing). This will suit someone with first class communication skills and previous Property/ Estates Management experience with a sound knowledge in commercial lease hold liabilities (Landlord and Tenant), maximising income from rent/service charge.

Job Purpose:

To manage the client's commercial lease hold liabilities (landlord and tenant), maximising income from rent/service charge, land disposal and minimising expenditure.

Responsible for the management of the overall rates liability across a number of different rating authorities to ensure accurate budget forecasting delivered, rating assessments are correct and charitable relief secured.

Job Responsibilities: ( includes but limited to)

• Manage and co-ordinate all commercial, domestic leases and disposals.
• Marketing vacant space and managing lease entries / exits.
• Assist the Campus and Estates Services (CES) Manager in delivery of campus developments.
• To assist with the definition of clients portfolio strategy, where affected by lease requirements.
• Delivering a strategic estate management service, responsive to dynamic institutional space requirements in terms of size, use, cost and location.
• Providing input into Estates Strategy process, particularly in relation to the use of the estates and opportunities for rationalisation, acquisitions and disposals.
• Inform the estates strategy development, space management and property asset management across the estate.

Experience:

• Demonstrable previous successful experience
• Relevant qualifications.
• Experience and knowledge of Property Management/Property Lease Management and an understanding of related legislation
