In this Operations Manager / Construction Manager's opportunity based in Fife, you will have an excellent opportunity to join a Tier 1 contractor who has projects within Social Housing ranging from £3M - £40M across Fife, Central Scotland, and Tayside.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the project teams prepare / issue factual and accurate reports for the Monthly Regional Board Meetings
  • Attend monthly Cost Valuation Report Meetings with project teams and Directors
  • Review job costs and instigate reviews and recovery plans, where necessary. Assist with the management of Labour & Productivity
  • Ensure that each project is adequately resourced to maintain H&S, programme, and quality objectives efficiently
  • Ensure that the appropriate supply chain is in place to satisfy the requirements of the business and individual projects.
  • Identify staff development and carry out appraisals.
  • Ensure the optimum resources are allocated to deliver upon budget objectives
  • Review and endorse End Day Forecasts with the Commercial team
  • Where required interrogate tender site reports making comment and recommendation on project planning, buildability, staffing, plant, risk, and opportunities
  • Ensure a positive safety culture is upheld

Skills & experience

  • A Construction or Civil Engineering related degree
  • Significant management experience in the Construction industry
  • Valid CSCS card (Management)
  • Certified in SMSTS via CITB
  • Competent in Health and Safety practise
  • Demonstrate you can lead and manage a large team within the Construction industry
  • A member of the CIOB, ICE or CEng (Desirable)
  • ILM qualified (Desirable)
