Key responsibilities
The pre- construction quantity surveyor will be responsible for managing the pre-construction commercial process through client, external consultants, specialist subcontractors and inter disciplines.
You will have a thorough understanding of design, programme, commercial functions, and a successful track record of commercial delivery.
Close collaboration with the client and their consultants, ensuring designs add value for money whilst maintaining the company's overall profitability, this will form a key element of this role.
Skills & experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
- Successful track record of project delivery (Commercially biased)
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Strong commercial / design awareness
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literate
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to collaborate with Design Team and Operational Team to drive the pre-construction process.
- Participating in presentations and interviews to internal and external parties
- Ability to produce first principal estimating would be advantageous.
