The project is for a social housing scheme with 35 units, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and lead a fantastic development in Aberdeen.
Your new role
As an experienced Senior Quantity Survey, you will report to the Commercial Manager and be a key part of the commercial team. This is a full commercial job role that will involve all stages of commercial work. You will be responsible for all aspects of finances relating to the project. Your job will comprise issuing targets to ensure maximum productivity for the company, along with constant remeasures of works carried out to date and works to completion, to ensure your new company is paid in full for work carried out. Your job will also involve financial reports, cost value reporting, and payments internally and externally. You will be required to prepare an extension of time claims where applicable, contra charges, payment notifications, notification of delays, tender cost analysis, day works, forecasting, valuations, final accounts negotiating, and measuring. Along with the acceptance of subcontractors and issuing tender enquiries.

What you will need to succeed
You will come from an academic background in Quantity Surveying accredited by the RICS. You will have experience in Construction, Housing, and Timber Kit and know your way around SBCC and NEC contracts.
You will have a practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking. You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving with a strong numeracy and financial management skill set. You will have the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT Packages and the ability to write clear and precise reports and be able to explain complex information in a simple way to a diverse group of people. You will have excellent negotiation skills and work well in a team. A good knowledge of construction and building technology, processes, materials, and business would be essential.
