Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Technical Officer on a temporary basis for a period of 6 months

The Technical Officer will be responsible for ensuring the landscaping contract is implemented by contractors as it should be. The role includes monitoring and inspection of all the organisations common areas, closes, voids and garden areas and is therefore a role performing predominantly outside duties.

Main duties of the role are:

  • Daily quality control of the works carried out by the Landscape Contractor
  • Ensure high quality completion of works and that all estates are left in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Engage with customers as necessary in relation to feedback, complaints and queries.
  • inspection of common paths and playparks and highlight areas of health and safety concern or repairs required.
  • Undertake inspection of all closes and feedback actions for repairs/cleanliness
  • Undertake inspections of void properties and void development site

Skills and experience required:

  • excellent interpersonal skills to manage contractors
  • landscape experience is desirable
  • ability to organise and prioritise workload and manage paperwork
  • Social Housing experience would be an advantage
