Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Statutory Returns Manager on a contract basis on behalf of our public sector client based in Dundee. This is a role which can be worked fully remotely.

Rate: £350-£400 per day/ Inside IR35 (flexible)

Contract Length: 3 Months

Working Model: Fully remote

The Statutory Returns Manager will oversee the teams that deliver the Staff Statutory Returns and provide staff Information for use in strategic decision-making across the organisation. They will be responsible for improving the approach to statistical returns, determining the best means of presenting the organisation to the world, and ensuring the quality of reporting for both external and internal use.

Duties Include:

  • Providing expert leadership and management of the reporting requirements associated with all staff statistical returns for the organisation;
  • Leading teams to continue implementing significant changes in respect of the HESA (Data Futures) and the HESA (new systems);
  • Assuring the quality of Statutory Returns and other information produced by the team, and provide advice and assurance in respect of statutory returns produced in other Directorates;
  • Taking a leading and influential role in collaboration with other Directorates to ensure enhancements to the Staff Information Systems, the quality of data therein and the consistency of internal and external reporting;
  • Managing and enhancing the delivery of Management Information about staff so that it is of high quality, and communicated in ways that are straightforward for diverse users, of value for strategic decision-making and suitable for high-profile, external use.

Experience:

  • Excellent digital skills, including experience of using more specialist information management and analytical systems;
  • Excellent skills in information management, data manipulation and quantitative analysis, and reporting;
  • Experience of provide specialist advice, and guiding and influencing stakeholders at operational and strategic levels;
  • Good people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and influence staff to deliver effectively, even where you do not have direct line management responsibility
