We have a current opportunity for a UX Research Specialist on a permanent basis with our public sector client based in Edinburgh City Centre.

Main duties Include;
Ensure professional and quality service standards are maintained. Conduct research accurately and methodically to address Identify and make recommendations for improvements (e.g. in policies and procedures) to contribute to the continuous operational improvement of the User Experience team and its activities.
Lead projects of a short-term nature, and contribute to larger organisation-wide projects as part of a project team, working closely with service managers and product owners to support the achievement of project 20 objectives. Work collaboratively with teams operating systems and delivering user-facing services for the organisation, reviewing levels of staff and student satisfaction and, identifying and making recommendations for improvements, and facilitating best practice.
Plan and carry out user-centred design research including identification of user needs and goals and corresponding business unit goals through a range of methods including usability testing, user journey mapping, card sorting, content auditing, affinity mapping, interviews, surveys, co-design workshops, contextual inquiry, and ethnographic studies.
Promote a culture of continuous delivery and improvement, ensuring that key tools, methods and processes are regularly reviewed, maintained and improved.
