Job description

We have a fantastic 6month fixed term contract opportunity for a Learning and Development Manager, offering remote working with offices based in Scotland, £350-£420 per day.

Role Learning and Development Manager

Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development, the L&D Manager will lead a team to enable learning and continuous improvement at an individual, team and organisational level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and develop the L&D team members
  • Act as a partner to the wider organisational functions to help understand and assess needs and identifying suitable solutions
  • Lead the implementation of the L&D objectives aligned to the People Strategy
  • Work in partnership across the HROD function to consult with key stakeholders to understand L&D requirements
  • Support the team to design and develop organisation wide learning, aligned with the People Strategy
  • Ensure that L&D activities are measured and evaluated
  • Accountable for the effective management of L&D budget ensuring regular review and reconciliation
  • Actively participate in the wider management of the People and Change function

Person Specification

  • Knowledge of L&D theory, practice, and research
  • CIPD L&D qualification or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in coaching others to design and deliver customer focused L&D interventions and propositions.
  • Proven track record of leading, managing and developing the delivery of a L&D function
  • Ability to understand business needs and effectively consult to identify ongoing strategic L&D priorities
  • Ability to work with high levels of autonomy in a challenging and transforming business environment
  • Constructive approach to communication ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and management
