Service Manager: Shooters Hill

Job Title: Service Manager (Young People's Supported Accommodation)
Location: Greenwich, London
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM)
Duration: Temporary cover (1-3 months, with possibility of extension)
Pay: £22.00 per hour (incl. holiday pay) PAYE

We are looking for an experienced Service Manager to oversee 5 supported accommodation services for young people aged 16+, providing housing support across the Greenwich borough.



Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 4 Project Workers, 4 Night Workers, and 1 Day Concierge
• Oversee staff supervision, training, development, and recruitment
• Ensure young people receive high-quality, consistent support and co-produced safety plans
• Work with statutory services to coordinate responses to missing young people and support non-engaging clients
• Oversee referrals, ensuring criteria are met and policies are followed
• Ensure that life skills training is offered to all residents to support move-on preparation
• Maintain property standards, housing management, and voids/rental income maximisation
• Ensure health and safety compliance, training, and risk assessment updates
• Safeguard young people and vulnerable adults

Essential Requirements:

• Experience managing staff in services for young people with complex needs
• Understanding of effective practice with care leavers and looked-after children
• Proven experience managing multiple accommodation-based services
• Strong networking, coordination, and budgeting skills
