Interim Head of Digital and Design

Morgan Hunt is currently working with a Regulatory body based in London in search of an Interim Head of Digital and Design.

The position plays a key role in leading up the digital and design team.


Role: Interim head of Digital and Design Communications

Contract: 6-month FTC

Pay: up to £70k p/a plus benefits

Location: London or Birmingham


Key Responsibilities of the new Interim Head of Digital and Design :

• Lead on the overall digital and design strategy, setting out updated approach for effectively engaging with target audiences.

• Develop and implement an effective social media strategy that puts creative content and social media at the heart of all communications announcements and at the forefront of planning.

• Lead the Digital and Design team to craft and share content that has a measurable impact with audiences, using new techniques and targeted channel strategies.

• Oversee the in-house design team, ensuring appropriate resourcing, support with prioritising requests during busy periods and helping to identify opportunities to use design to strategically support.

• Oversee the delivery of the website's improvements, which has an agreed phased approach, to time and on budget, and future new website build. This includes working with the website agency and Digital Communications colleagues to deliver the refresh of key website sections.

Previous experience of the new Interim head of Digital and Design:

• Knowledge and proven experience of leading a digital and design communications team.

• Understanding of the power of digital channels (including website and social media) and the ability to formulate strategies and plans that deliver impact.

• Strong experience of working closely with design and creative teams

• Experience of communications planning in a complex, fast-moving, multi-stakeholder environment.

• An inclusive leadership style which inspires, motivates, and promotes collaboration across the team and the organisation.
