Director of Finance
Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Finance Director on a predominately remote basis with some regular travel to London on a PART TIME permanent basis with a reputable charity. This Finance Director role is paying up to £45,000 per annum(Pro.
The Finance and Operations Director will be providing strong financial acumen, collaborating closely with the CEO and other senior stakeholders to drive plan delivery. Additionally, you will lead finance and operations part of the business as well as being a key team contributor for the financial resilience of the charity.
Main Responsibilities of the Finance Director:
- Work with the CEO and Trustees to set objectives, develop business plans, and ensure Prepare and review annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
- Oversee audits, statutory accounts, payroll, tax management, and banking relationships.
- Ensure strategic financial information is communicated to leadership and the board.
- Act as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with legal, constitutional, and policy requirements.
- Oversee the charity's reporting obligations to regulatory bodies like Companies House and the Charity Commission.
- Manage contracts, risk register, and insurances.
- Lead and develop the Finance team, ensuring training, support, and well-being.
- Hold regular performance reviews and address team issues with HR support.
- Contribute to the charity's strategic planning, culture, and operational standards as a member of the Leadership and Director Group.
Person Specification of the Finance Director
- Full qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
- Experience implementing new finance and HR systems
- Knowledge of charity accounting standards, SORP, and financial management best practices.
- Strong communication skills, organisational ability, and knowledge of charity law.
- Committed to the charity's values, inclusive practices, and safeguarding policies.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and focused on learning and improvement.
- Ability to motivate others, work collaboratively, and take responsibility autonomously.
