Senior Finance Business Partner
Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner in London on a full time permanent basis with a homelessness charity. This Finance Business Partner role is paying up to £50,000 per annum.
The Finance Business Partner will be providing strong financial acumen, collaborating closely with the Head of Finance and other senior stakeholders to drive plan delivery. Additionally, you will lead finance transformation projects while providing business insight and advice and monitor progress against business plans.
Main Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:
- Lead on producing monthly management accounts, review variances, and ensure effective budgetary control by working closely with budget holders.
- Develop and oversee consolidated budgets, prepare financial forecasts, and track actual performance against targets.
- Build financial models, provide insights on new business opportunities, and guide budget holders through financial decision-making processes.
- Explain complex financial issues to non-finance managers and empower them to manage their budgets effectively.
- Coach the management accountant on reporting frameworks, collaborate with team members, and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
Person Specification of the Finance Business Partner:
- Hold a relevant degree or professional qualification from recognised accountancy bodies (e.g., CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Have experience in business partnering within a similar business, demonstrating stakeholder relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrate expertise in financial planning and analysis for budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Exhibit an understanding of risks and utilise financial and business intelligence for risk management and mitigation.
- Possess a curious mindset, capable of identifying and investigating risks, and proposing practical solutions within the business context.
- Communicate effectively across various stakeholder levels.
- Perform well under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods.
- Display confidence in independent work while also being collaborative and proactive.
