HR Manager
Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for a HR Manager on a temporary basis for a London based, Think Tank organisation. This role is starting ASAP for 3 months initially, paying up to £240 per day on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home).
This is a standalone HR Manager position and would suit someone who has worked in a newly created HR Manager or similar position.
Responsibilities for the HR Manager:
- Responsibility for all aspects of recruitment and retention of staff, reporting to the Director of Finance and Resources
- Manage the recruitment process end to end: work with team leads to produce job descriptions and person specifications; co-ordinate the assessment process from the design of online assessment and interview questions to the logistics of advertising, review, interview, offers and contracts.
- Ensure a smooth and comprehensive onboarding process which provides the best possible start for new joiners.
- Ensure a full set of records is maintained in relation to employment contracts, right to work documentation, annual leave and sickness absence.
- Review and update the organisation's policies, supported by staff training, as required.
- Manage the six-monthly performance appraisal process and feedback on training and development needs.
- Monitor and benchmark salaries in the sector and in adjacent sectors.
HR Manager Person Specification:
- An experienced professional with a solid background in managing the full range of HR responsibilities for a small to medium-sized organisation, ideally chartered CIPD member.
- Confident grasp of Employment Law and practical approach to ensuring the organisation complies with it.
- Clear, analytical approach to resource planning and HR process management.
- Methodical and detail-oriented management of records, policies and procedures.
This role would suit someone interested in politics; who would work well in a collaborative working environment, able to take control on a newly created HR Manager position.
