Supplier Relationship Officer

Morgan Hunt is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Supplier Relationship Officer to join a renowned Housing Association. We are searching for a proactive and dedicated professional to support the Supplier Relationship Manager in managing and enhancing the key supplier partnerships. This role is pivotal in ensuring a stable and productive supply chain that aligns with the strategic objectives.

Job Title: Supplier Relationship Officer
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Location: South East London
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

The Vacancy:

As a Supplier Relationship Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and strengthening the supplier relationships. You will be responsible for managing key suppliers to ensure they meet the business needs and contribute to the strategic goals. Your efforts will be integral in embedding Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) principles throughout the procurement process for successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Supplier Relationship Manager in managing and nurturing key supplier relationships.
• Take ownership of specific supplier relationships, ensuring they align with our business objectives.
• Participate in procurement exercises, embedding SRM principles to achieve successful outcomes.
• Provide guidance, training, and materials to support staff in contract management and SRM.
• Ensure best practices are implemented across the business in all procurement-related activities.

Person Specification:

To excel in this role, you will need:

• Experience in contract management and/or supplier relationship management.
• A strong understanding of industry regulations and standards related to supply chain management.
• Familiarity with procurement regulations and processes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• A collaborative mindset with a focus on team success.
• The ability to work methodically, meet deadlines, and find solutions to challenges.
