Morgan Hunt is recruiting for Maintenance Operative to work with a Non for Profit Organisation in North London on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The details of the job are below:

Maintenance Operative

Hours: 35 hours - 09:00am to 17:00pm Mon to Fri

Pay Rate: £13.32ph PAYE + £1.61 WTR Total: £14.93ph

Location: North London

Duration: 3 months Temp to Perm contract

Job purpose:

• To undertake a range of maintenance and related buildings and facilities activities as allocated, including repairs, refurbishments, and refits.
• To ensure high standards and a quality service at all times

Duties and responsibilities

Buildings maintenance

• Undertake hands-on maintenance, repairs and maintenance in-house works across all sites and as allocated by the Estates and Facilities Officer, Buildings and Maintenance Site Lead or Buildings and Maintenance Manager. This will include:
• Basic plumbing repairs such as unblocking toilets, sinks or urinals, investigation water leaks, fixing and replacing fixtures such as taps, washers, plugs, sink units, and other basic plumbing tasks.
• Routine and basic electrical repairs, such as changing light bulbs, plugs, like for like replacement of light fittings and switches. May include PAT testing.
• Carpentry to include replacing and repairing door handles, locks door closures, hanging doors, assembling furniture, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, shelving units.
• Painting and decorating (internal and external) to include making good and patching cracks.
• Porterage to include moving of furniture, assisting in any office, housing or related furniture moves, setting up of meeting spaces.
