Animal care technician - Portsmouth

Morgan Hunt are working with a fantastic college in the Portsmouth area, together, we are seeking to appoint a talented, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Animal care technician to join them.



Job Title:  Animal care technician

Location: Portsmouth

Hours: full time

Start: ASAP

Length of contract: on going

Payrate - £15 - £20



Duties:

• Provide daily care and maintenance of animals
• Monitor the health and well-being of animals
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for animals
• Administer treatments and medications
• Monitor and record animal activity
• Assist with animal handling and restraint
• Communicate and collaborate with other staff members

Skills and requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Relevant experience
• Ability to provide basic animal care
• Ability to follow safety protocols
• Knowledge of animal husbandry techniques
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to handle and restrain animals
