Job Title: Learning support assistant

Key responsibilities:

  • To support the child's learning in class.
  • Ensure a secure environment where the pupils feel safe and able to access their learning.
  • To enable the child to move safely around the school.
  • To adapt lessons or activities where necessary.
  • Monitor and advise teaching staff/parents on the child's ability to undertake expected classroom activities.
  • To undertake any duties as required by school in relation to the child's overall wellbeing.
  • To exchange information with parents and staff to ensure a unified approach to the child's support.
  • Use professional knowledge and skills to facilitate the child's general learning and development throughout the school day.
  • Set termly objectives in conjunction with school staff.



Qualifications and experience:


  • Experience working with SEND children in a school environment.
  • Experience with providing/willingness to provide personal care support to individuals with high needs (e. peg feeding, toileting, changing etc.)
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Right to work in the UK
