Job Type: Temporary - 8-12 weeks initially

The organisation

In this Tenancy Support Officer opportunity in Huntingdon, you will join a national organisation whose sole purpose is to help end homelessness one person at a time, by providing housing and on-going support from first point of entry.

Key responsibilities

In this Tenancy Support Officer job, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents with appropriate support to help the transition from temporary accommodation Into a new tenancy
• Ensure financial viability through appropriate Income management - housing benefits / housing / welfare support / budgeting
• Support residents to reduce behaviours which may be negotiable and provide crisis Intervention
• Positive / solution focused approach to work with confidence to deal with challenging and complex situations
• Comprehensive housing and voids management, maintaining a high standard of health and safety, building compliance and property standards

Skills & experience

• Proven track record working in tenancy support or role similar within housing support
• Desire to help vulnerable people with housing + emotional support
• DBS Issued In the last 12 months or on the update service - adult cleared
• Able to start asap
