Housing Officer

Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Lambeth, South East London, is looking to recruit a Housing Officer to deliver an integrated generic housing service to tenants and leasehold customers.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will offer hybrid working.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy agreements.
• Provide a proactive and customer focused housing management service across a designated area and to ensure that the Council fulfils its legal and contractual obligations to tenants and leaseholders.
• Deliver key housing management services, ensuring timely and high-standard delivery.
• Provide assistance, advice, and information to residents on tenancy and estate management services.
• Investigate and manage abandoned properties, tenancy fraud, and breaches of tenancy.
• To act as a regular and visible presence on estates, taking action to make sure estates are safe and well maintained and provide advice, information and reports on any housing management matter.
• Conduct tenancy checks, welcome visits, and tenancy reviews.
• Coordinate and perform routine site inspections, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor estate services contracts and address communal repairs and fire safety.
• Handle reports of nuisance, anti-social behaviour, and liaise with the Tenancy Enforcement Team.
• Support witnesses and victims of anti-social behaviour.
• Work with partner agencies and contribute to community development initiatives.
• Attend community meetings and forums.
