Electrical Design Engineer Building Services

They have multiple offices across the UK and have a solid reputation for successful project delivery throughout numerous sectors within the Built Environment. Projects can vary from small works to £100m+ across Education, Heritage, High-End Residential, Cultural, Laboratories and more. They have a very modern, open-plan office space, you will get exposure to designing a wide range of electrical systems across multiple jobs and there is an excellent support system in place for staff training and development. They are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer at Grad/Intermediate level as long as you have some industry experience.

Role

• Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems
• Develop specifications, design drawings, calculations and any other contract documents through the RIBA work stages.
• Contribute to successful project completion by providing technical services in accordance with project time and quality.
• Input to pre-qualification and selection of contractors, respond to tender queries, comment and review tender returns.
• Attend site surveys and client concurrence meetings
• Ensure compliance with all Statutory and Regulatory Authorities and obtain approvals as necessary

Qualifications / Experience

• 1 years post graduate work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
• Ideally have a full UK driving licence, to enable travel to sites as and when required, either as part of wider design team, or individually
• Experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Revit is ideal
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Use knowledge of electrical systems to carry out electrical building services design
