Electrical Design Engineer Building Services

Company

A very well-established medium sized mechanical, electrical and sustainability engineering consultancy. Our client are designers of high quality, sustainability MEP systems providing a first class service across Healthcare, Industrial, Residential and Commercial. This brand are known for their low staff turnover and excellent progression routes, they have a new, modern open-plan office space and are currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer / Senior to join their Glasgow team.

Role

• Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.
• Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
• Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
• Report and technical note writing.
• Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
• Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes.

Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
• Ideally have a full UK driving licence, to enable travel to sites as and when required, either as part of wider design team, or individually
• Experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Revit is ideal
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Trimble is ideal
• Use knowledge of electrical systems to carry out electrical building services design
