Our client
Morgan Hunt is working with a large North - West based housing association who are looking for an Outreach Worker to join one of their projects under their supported housing remit.
This is a temporary role for approximately 5 - 6 months initially, with the chance of extension. Working 19 hours over 3 days, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting young people with Autism and ADHD to live independently within the community.
The role
- Working with young people to understand their condition, develop living skill and meaningful relationships and learn to manage a tenancy.
- Managing a caseload of allocation clients within the community.
- Supporting young people to access the community and live independently.
- Signposting young people to other accessible services within the community in relation to managing their tenancy and developing their living skills.
- Multi agency working with other professionals within the community.
- Using IT systems to ensure accurate record keeping.
The candidate
- A driver with access to a car for work.
- Experience of supporting young people especially those with Autism and / or ADHD.
- Experience of supporting young people to manage their mental health.
- A strong communicator, who is able to engage young people.
- A current Enhanced DBS on the update service.
