Morgan Hunt are working with a College based in East London who are looking at recruiting a Finance Business Partner. This is a 6 month contract role paying up to £225 p/day. The role will be hybrid with 3 days p/week in the office.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:
- Partner with department heads to manage and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, offering insights and analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Provide financial input on strategic projects, assessing viability and aligning with the college's long-term goals.
- Analyse budget performance, identify variances, and work with managers to implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Serve as a key liaison between finance and non-financial managers, offering guidance and financial training where needed.
- Provide financial oversight and analysis for ongoing and new projects, including capital investments and funding applications.
- Ensure compliance with audit standards and support the preparation for internal and external audits.
Previous Skills and Experience of the Finance Officer:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Experience in a finance business partner role, within the education sector.
- Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
