Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in South London is looking to recruit a Application Officer to provide support throughout a busy period.

This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Application Officer to support the housing applications and allocations process within a local authority setting. This role involves conducting initial needs assessments, managing data input, updating databases, and responding to queries within tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in housing applications, allocations, or administration and be familiar with housing systems such as Northgate NEC.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

• Carry out first-stage assessments to determine eligibility for housing support.
• Accurately update and maintain housing records within Northgate NEC or similar housing systems.
• Review and process housing applications efficiently, ensuring compliance with local authority policies.
• Respond promptly to enquiries from applicants, tenants, and housing partners, providing clear and accurate advice.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet deadlines and improve service delivery within the allocations team.
• Ensure all applications comply with housing legislation and local authority policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
