Morgan Hunt have partnered with a Top 20 London Chartered Accountancy & Advisory Firm that boasts approx. 50 partners and 500 staff members across all their offices and are increasingly growing. The successful Audit Senior Manager will have the opportunity to be part of an ambitious team within their fabulous, modern Central London office who believe in treating each other with trust, respect and consideration. They are friendly, straightforward and have a strong sense of accountability towards their employees. The Audit Senior Manager will be responsible for a varied client portfolio, as well as having the opportunity to lead the audit team and you will be reporting to the partners.
The Audit Senior Manager's Responsibilities will include:
- Completing audits with minimal supervision and within deadlines.
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements under FRS102 and IFRS.
- Attendance and contributions at client meetings.
- Management and development of upcoming audit talent.
- Maintaining a good level of technical knowledge and being able to independently research issues forming your own solutions.
- Financial management of portfolio taking control of WIP, billing and debt management.
- Involvement in business development, including maintaining own key contacts and fostering new relationships.
The Ideal skills for the successful Audit Senior Manager:
- Having the ability to prioritise and manage work effectively.
- Ability to supervise and delegate a team in terms of technical and other aspects.
- Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous knowledge/experience of auditing standards, accounting standards and corporation tax this includes; complex or group auditing, and integrated accounts production.
- Anticipates and resolves problems at an early stage to keep assignments on budget.
- Can identify opportunities for growth within the existing client base and when to involve other service lines.
Software Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous use of CaseWare or Mercia methodologies is desirable.
- ACCA or ACA
