Morgan Hunt are recruiting for a Service Manager on a contract basis on behalf of our public sector client based in Edinburgh.
Rate: £500 per day (flexible)/ Inside IR35 (Umbrella)
The role-holder will provide operational service management, training, support, and advice on using media services across the organisation including their Media Asset Management service, recording platform, and a new captioning service. They will manage and contribute proactively on projects to improve services, and to develop and enhance services in line with user requirements.
Duties Include:
- Provide operational service management across a broad range of centrally provided media services. This may include supporting service users via a call management system, communicating about service issues, developing and running training, writing service definitions and KPIs and negotiating with internal and external suppliers.
Manage a team working as part of the Captioning Service. This includes implementing consistent quality assurance processes, process monitoring and ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet agreed service levels.
- Run regular institution-wide user groups to seek feedback and suggestions for service improvements. Analyse user needs and service improvement ideas, propose innovative solutions, and disseminate authoritative knowledge and best practice on process, policy and existing plans for the services.
- Provide regular service updates to senior managers, highlighting service usage and trends, changes, issues and improvements.
