Job description
Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Glasgow based Housing Association to recruit for a Projects/Technical Officer within their Property & Asset Management team.
Salary is also subject to a 5% increase from April 2023.
The role involves working on the major works investment plan for the housing association which will include kitchen, bathrooms, windows, stonework etc. You will be involved in these projects from beginning to end which will include being involved in the tendering, procurement and costing process right through to the project being on site and completed. The housing association will also be looking at energy efficiency so net zero projects is another area of work that you would be involved in.
The main duties of the role are:
- Developing options and business case appraisals, procuring and delivering projects across all properties, including representing and liaising with owners and other relevant stakeholders, in relation to factored properties
- Preparing works specifications and tender documentation in line with procurement strategy
- Ensuring contractor compliance and assessing and addressing contractor performance in respect of quality and performance
- Scrutinising invoices / valuation requests for accuracy/value for money before processing with delegated authority
- Supporting the implementation and administration of Asset Management Software
To be considered for this role you must be a team player who has knowledge & experience in the housing/construction sector and be used to working with procurement & tender processes. You must also be IT literate.
