Senior Repairs Surveyor - North

Some leadership experience would be required, along with a strong track record in managing Repairs with a Housing Association. The Job Role
The Senior Repairs Surveyor role will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of maintenance in the Northern region, covering properties in the North East, Yorkshire & North West. (M62 Corridor)
With 2 direct reports covering the NW and NE you and your team will strive to ensure the provision of a good service in all aspects of responsive, cyclical, and major repairs to tenanted and void properties. The Senior Repairs Surveyor also takes responsibility for managing maintenance contractors in line with the contract management framework including any performance improvement areas. The Senior Repairs Surveyor will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, monitor budgets, whilst never compromising on H&S regulations.
This role requires a confident and experienced professional to help ensure the smooth delivery of all repairs and maintenance. You will need to be up to date with current building and H&S legislations, as well as a sound understanding in procurement routes in Housing.
The ideal candidate will possess a HNC in construction or building, be able to draft tender documents and it would be advantageous to be able to prepare basic construction drawings and specifications.
Naturally there will be travel involved, with mileage expenses currently paid at an enhanced rate, so a clean driving license is essential as well as an enhanced DBS.
The Basic Salary band for this role is between £40,000 - £45,000 depending upon experience, ideally within commuting distance of West Yorkshire Head Office, so Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire are good locations. The company offers a Hybrid working model and 35 Hours a week is the standard working hours requirement, which is further evidence of working for a caring organisation.
