Key responsibilities
In this Sports Lecturer job, your responsibilities will include:
- To make a significant contribution to teaching and learning in the Curriculum Area as a Lecturer in Sport.
- To contribute to the teaching and learning in a range of public services related courses at FE level.
- To ensure full compliance with all college policies and procedures within designated areas of responsibility.
- To assure the quality of the learner experience by effective delivery of formal scheduled teaching and tutorials paying due regard to learner progression towards successful completion.
- To undertake the role of Course Manager/Year Tutor as appropriate, working effectively within teams responsible for devising, reviewing and maintaining effective management of study programmes.
Skills & experience
- Degree in related discipline a post-graduate teaching degree
- Right to Work & Enhanced Adult/Child DBS dated within the last 3 months or on the update service
- Knowledge of teaching styles recommended.
- Excellent interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong multitasking skills.
