Permanent Payroll and HR Manager - West Midlands

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Payroll Manager to further their career within HR and join an established HR department within a West Midlands College.

The PAyroll and HR Manager will report into the Assistant Principal HR and will be responsible for a payroll coordinator, a HRIS Coordinator and a HR Assistant (L&D, Compliance, Occupational Health)

  • Salary up to £44k p.a.
  • Full Time 37 hours per week
  • Onsite with free parking (potential for hybrid working)

Duties - Payroll and HR Manager

  • Payroll - recent hands-on payroll experience that can support the Payroll Coordinator producing a monthly payroll and who also has had HR practitioner experience.
  • HRIS - will focus on the further development of our HR system (MHR's iTrent), so experience of this system is desirable.
  • Management - this role is a fundamental role in the team that provides direction and support for HR/Payroll operations and day to day interactions.
  • Compliance - to manage the Colleges Single Central Record and Occupational Health provision.

Experience

  • Processing end to end payroll/Managing the entire payroll function
  • Qualified or have equivalent experience
  • Previous line management experience
  • Knowledge of HR information systems and continuous improvement
