Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician for our client based in Derby. This is a permanent position offering £30,875 - £32,500. You will be working within social housing so it's essential that you have good customer service skills.

Your overall responsibility will be to undertake Electrical and repairs and maintenance work, to provide high quality, 'right first time', cost effective building services to the business and its customers.

Duties of an Electrician:

  • Identify and undertake Electrical and associated work as directed
  • Liaise with other employees as necessary in order to complete specified works
  • Ensure levels of productivity and work within the required timescales / categories or to targets
  • Receive, plan and complete job orders on time and to quality
  • Undertake work on electrical installations in accordance with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations, currently 17th Edition and any subsequent revisions
  • Carry out fault finding, and diagnostic work as required to repair and maintain electrical installations
  • Co-operate with health surveillance programmes
  • Follow agreed procedures when working in occupied properties to ensure resident safety and security

The successful Electrician will have:

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 2361 part 1,2 and AM2 or equivalent
  • 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Experience in social housing
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Driving licence

You will be required to have a DBS dated within 3 months, on the update service or be willing to get one.
