Morgan Hunt are working with a leading University to appoint an Admissions Specialist within the Coventry area. This is a full time permanent role paying up to £24,000 plus discretionary bonuses of up to 10%. The client is seeking an individual who has worked in a high volume, analytical data environment to be able to make admission decisions against set criteria by the University. The role will offer hybrid of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home after the probation period has been completed. This role will require some evening and weekend work (only Saturday). The postholder will also be expected to travel across the various campuses.

The Admissions Specialist will be responsible for:

• undertaking selection decisions at undergraduate/postgraduate taught level on behalf of the University after having confirmed the selection criteria against which applications are to be considered

• ensuring that applications are processed within the agreed timescales and policies and practices

• making offers to applicants assessing personal statements, and references as well as predicted grades and making full assessments and decisions on applications, ensuring compliance with a range of admissions requirement checks

• co-ordinating the handling of enquiries from prospective students

• contributing to the development of policies and procedures connected with the selection of undergraduate/postgraduate applicants for admission

• ensuring effective communication of changes in HE legislation and post 16 qualifications to the Faculty link

The Admissions Specialist will need to:

• be educated to degree level or equivalent

• have experience of working in a high data driven environment and being able to manage large workloads within tight deadlines

• showcase the ability to analyse data and assess against set criteria to make an informed decision

• have excellent communication skills

• be flexible within their work approach to meet the demands of the University
