Job description

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting for two Works Planners to work within social housing on a fixed-term basis for 6 months. This role is office based in Walsall.

The role is to plan a large number of appointments to ensure the diaries of a number of trades operatives are effectively managed. If a customer calls in with a need for a repair on their property, you will match a suitable trades operative to that repair and schedule an appointment for them to go out to the property.

Duties of a Works Planner:

  • Responsible for completing daily diary scheduling for colleagues using their system
  • Liaising on a daily basis with trades operatives to deal with and rectify queries on suitable appointment slots
  • First point of call for customer services colleagues if a work scheduling or appointment problem occurs
  • Dealing with emergency jobs on a daily basis
  • Liaising with customers and colleagues throughout the day to ensure all appointments and targets are met
  • Ensuring all necessary materials are ordered if required
  • Ensuring diaries and route maps are being used to their full potential

The ideal Works Planner will have:

  • A good knowledge and understanding of DRS software or relevant trades-based work planning system
  • Knowledge of Electronic Data Management Systems
  • A qualification at Level 2 in English & Maths
  • An understanding of the construction industry and the use of trade skills in property maintenance
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word and Excel)

Full-time, Monday to Friday.
37 hours per week.
6 months contract.
